The heart of Medina’s holiday charm lies in its Public Square, featuring a beautifully adorned gazebo with a massive Christmas tree. According to George Sam, the executive director of Main Street Medina, the city possesses all the elements for an extraordinary holiday experience.

Medina Mayor Dennis Hanwell expressed his pride in the warm and welcoming community, estimating that around 20,000 to 25,000 people attended the main Christmas event in and around the Square. HGTV acknowledged that Medina truly “shines” during the holidays, and Mayor Hanwell sees this recognition as a great honor for the city.

The community’s efforts in creating festive decorations and events were highlighted as crucial by Mayor Hanwell. HGTV specifically commended attractions like Castle Noel, candlelight Christmas walks, and the Medina Performing Arts Center as must-visit options.

Castle Noel, a prominent feature in Medina for the past decade, showcases thousands of toys from the 1940s to the present day and boasts the title of the single largest collection of Christmas movie props globally. The owner, Mark Klaus, emphasized the importance of visitors booking tours in advance, promising a two-hour immersive experience filled with pure joy.
